On the basis of the information provided in the Environmental Impact Report (EIR), the Minister, on the basis of a set of publicly developed and disclosed criteria, will classify the level of environmental impact of the activity. The classification will either be low, medium or high and will be made in consultation with Planning SA and the Department for Environment, Heritage and the Department of Water, Land and Biodiversity Conservation through protocols established under various service agreements between the Department of State Development (previously DMITRE) and these Departments. Copies of the service agreements currently in place are available under Administrative Arrangements with other Agencies in the Environmental Register section of this website.
